This year Shabbat mornings at Bnai Keshet will feel more like a “house of study” than ever before. With over 90 kids and their families in attendance, we expect a whole lot of learning to be going on. There will be at least one Adult-Ed offering each Shabbat that Religious school is in session. The Schedule for September and Beyond follows:

The first Shabbat of each month – Chanting and Meditation Spiritual with May, Beth and Melissa

Sept. 26 – A survey of the Prophets w/Marty Fellner – The Book of Joshua

What’s Torah Got To Do With The Real World?!? Led by Rabbi Darby.

Jordan Sklar will be teaching Intro to Judaism, beginning in October.

End: 10:00 am
Jeremiah was a bullfrog and Joshua may be a tree that grows in California, but along with Samuel, David, Solomon, Isaiah and a host of other prophets and kings, these names are those of the key characters in the second part of our bible. The Torah, or the five books of Moses is part 1; Prophets – part 2; the “writings” or Ketuvim – part 3. Taken together we have the TaNaKh – the complete Jewish bible.
