Who Do You Shop For?
About a year ago Bnai Keshet embarked on an endeavor to raise a little revenue the easy way – by surfing the internet on www.GoodSearch.com. GoodSearch is a search engine which donates 50-percent of its revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. It's a simple and compelling concept. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine. Because it’s powered by Yahoo!, you get proven search results. The money GoodSearch donates to your cause comes from its advertisers — the users and the organizations do not spend a dime! 43,000+ nonprofits are now on-board and 100 more are joining daily. Save Darfur has earned $3,550. The ASPCA has earned $5,870. Bnai Keshet has earned $246.12. If each of our 250 member households made just 4 internet searches per day on GoodSearch.com, we would rake in $3650 a year. For free! But fear not! Now you can raise money for BK just by shopping online! In August of 2007, GoodSearch was expanded to include GoodShop, an online shopping mall of world-class merchants dedicated to helping fund worthy causes across the country. Each purchase made via the GoodShop mall results in a donation to the user’s designated charity or school – averaging approximately 3% of the sale, but going up to 20% or even more. So SHOP FOR BNAI KESHET! Log on to www.goodsearch.com and SHOP TILL YOU DROP on GoodShop! (All revenue raised from GoodSearch by December of 2007 will be designated to Bnai Keshet’s general operating budget.)
Tributes
What is a Tribute? A tribute is a great way to tell someone you care. Perhaps you wish to acknowledge a lifecycle event, a simcha, or just let someone know you’re thinking of them. Now it’s even easier to make a contribution to Bnai Keshet. If your credit card is on file with the BK office, just Click Here and email your tribute. You may instead print out the email form and mail it, along with your check, to Bnai Keshet, 99 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042. Or just phone it in to the BK office at (973) 746-4889 - we take credit cards! Your tribute will be listed in the Rainbow Reporter. The recipient of your tribute will receive a lovely, handwritten note in the mail. We welcome any donation, but suggest that it be given in increments of chai, $18.
Supermarket Scrip
We encourage our members to support Bnai Keshet by participating in the supermarket scrip program, which involves many local supermarkets. The program involves your purchase of supermarket gift certificates. Bnai Keshet earns a percentage of every dollar that you spend. It's easy, you’re going to eat anyways, and the program costs you nothing. All you have to do is contact Fred Glicksman at bnaikeshet@bnaikeshet.org or (973) 746-4889 to make arrangements. It’s easy! Just let us know where you shop and how much scrip you want to receive on a monthly basis.
