Places of worship throughout New Jersey will celebrate National Donor Sabbath this November to raise awareness about the critical need for organ and tissue donors. Long-time BK member Faith Kaplan and her kidney donor, Judy Summers, will discuss their stories at the Kaplan Minyan Service on Saturday, November 10, at 10 a.m. Every day, 20 people die because they cannot get the organ transplant they so desperately need. More than 100,000 men, women, and children are waiting for a healthy organ. In New Jersey alone, nearly 4,000 people await life-saving operations and thousands more wait for tissue transplants that can dramatically improve their quality of life.
