8:00 PM - 9:30 PM

“Law and Disorder: My Courthouse Stories,” a tragicomic account, written and performed by BK congregant Labe Richman of his time as a public defender in the South Bronx in the 80's. This monologue depicts the serious, emotional, crazy and comedic episodes in his life in law -- from kindergarten to the courtroom. Inspired by real events, details have been combined from different cases, and, of course, names and facts have been changed to protect the guilty and the innocent in these stories. Labe devotes his energies to undoing convictions that can lead to deportations and other immigration issues.
