Israel through the Lens of Israeli Literature: Nov. 8Jan. 7, 14, 21; Feb. 11March 11, 18, 25; April 29May 6, 13, 20: As the war in Gaza raged his summer, we looked on in anguish, many of us not fully comprehending the history and current status of the conflict. To bring us closer to a position of understanding, we will be exploring the matzav (the Hebrew term used to describe the Israeli-Palestinian conflict) through the lens of Israeli literature – both fiction and non-fiction.

Side by Side: Parallel Histories of Israel-Palestine (March 11, 18, 25 - 2015)

“Yellow Wind.”  by David Grossman (April 29, 2015)

We will also read the following fiction:

"Almost Dead", by Assaf Gavron (November 8, 2014)

"Tel Aviv Noir", by Etgar Keret and Assaf Gavron (February 11, 2015)

and others. Please join us for this provocative, in-depth study of Israel from the inside!
