Join us for this spiritual Artist in Residence Weekend

Gabriel Meyer Halevy is a pioneer of Hebrew sacred music, Jewish and Interfaith ritual and spirituality in Israel. Gabriel was born and raised in Argentina at the time of dictatorship and became a committed human rights and spiritual activist with his father, the late Rabbi Marshall T. Meyer z’l’, (spiritual leader of New York’s legendary “BJ” - B’nai Jeshuran Synagogue.) A world traveler, Gabriel serves as ambassador of a renewed spirit of Israel, offering music, education and healing rooted in the prophetic values of the Jewish People: justice (Tzedek tzedek tirdof: justice, justice you shall pursue) and love (V’ahavta le’reacha kamocha: Love your neighbor as yourself).

9am Gabriel Meyer will spend an hour with our Bet Midrash youth talking about his experiences in interfaith peace efforts and teaching new music.

10am Join us for rousing musical services with Hallel with Gabriel Meyer HaLevy including a d'var Torah on the topic of Rosh Chodesh Nisan.

12:30 - 2:30pm Sacred Music Playshop
An experiential Journey of awakening, healing & creativity of your essential & true voice through song, chant, movement, deep listening, sacred sound & interactive meditations inspiring the Divine beauty within us and around us. We will create a safe and playful space to inspire courage, flexibility & presence, drawing from the wellsprings of Kabbalistic, Sufi and other sacred wisdom nectars.

Journey with Gabriel from intimate transparency to ecstatic bliss as he shares sacred, original & healing heart songs - multilingual & world fusion music - spiced up by stories of his nomadic experiences as a cultural and interfaith bridge builder for peace.

Gabriel’s teaching draws from the wellsprings of Kabbalistic, Sufi and other sacred wisdom paths. Gabriel has been involved in numerous grassroots and international peace gatherings for thousands of participants, developing the culture of listening and co-existence and co-founded the Sulha Peace Project for the Reconciliation & Healing of the Children of Abraham: Arabs & Jews, Israelis & Palestinians. In the past fifteen years, Gabriel has led rituals, concerts, and workshops for thousands of people around the world in diverse sites including North, Central and South America, Europe, India, Australia and the Middle East. Gabriel’s albums include: Merkavah (The Chariot) and Hateva - Skin of God with Amen Ensemble, Spiritisreal and his latest and first solo album The Human Project.
