I am sad to announce that Beatrice Zemsky, mother of BK member Jennifer Zinman, passed away after a short battle with cancer yesterday, March 28, 2016.

Beatrice was a retired math teacher who taught for 40 years in the South Bronx.  She loved animals, gardening and playing bridge.  In addition to Jennifer, she is survived by her brother Henry Benima, her son Jeffrey Zemsky, as well as 5 grandchildren, including congregants Samara and Amanda Zinman.

The funeral will be held at the Hellman Memorial Chapel, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY tomorrow, Wednesday, March 30, at 11:00 a.m.

Jennifer will be sitting shiva at her and Dan's home (299 Ridgewood Avenue, Glen Ridge, NJ) on Thursday from 3-8 p.m., on Friday from 1-4 p.m. and Saturday from 7-9 p.m., with a Shiva Minyan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday.
