Memorial Notice - Dorothy Sheps
With great sadness I have to announce that BK member, Dottie Sheps passed away this morning after a short illness.
Dottie was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and eventually moved to the Jersey shore area with Walter. Dottie was committed to raising her children, Joey (passed away at age 3), Allen, Ellen Ann, and Sam. Dotty and Walter joined BK in 2006 when Walter first became ill and the two moved to Montclair to live with Sam, Cindy, and Ari. Dotty devoted her days to providing loving care and companionship for Walter, who moved to the Van Dyk Manor Nursing Home in July, 2010 when his illness progressed. Dotty also offered her love and sunshine to many Van Dyk residents and was a beloved presence for much of the Van Dyk staff. Dotty and Walter recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.Besides her beloved Walter and BK members Sam, Cindy and Ari, Dorothy is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Marshall Klein; son, Allen; daughter, Ellen Ann Sheps-Busby; and grandchildren, Jackie and Becca Busby.
Our best thoughts are with Sam, Cindy, Ari and the entire family.
