Selma Schulman, mother of BK member Carol Lewkowicz, passed away this morning at the age of 97.
Selma was born in Brooklyn and lived in Gloversville, New York most of her life. She was very active playing bridge and golf and volunteered in the local hospital. Selma, and Carol's father Jack, were active at Knesseth Israel Synagogue and started the Saratoga Performing Arts Center benefit that continues as an annual event. She was the mother of three children, grandmother of seven, and great-grandmother of ten. Selma brought happiness and joy to everyone's life. She lived at Van Dyk in Montclair for the last few months.
The funeral service will be held in Gloversville, New York.
