I am sad to inform you that Sara Bernstein, mother of BK member Susan Opperman, passed away yesterday, February 1st.
Sara was a very independent woman passed away in her home, surrounded by her children and other loved ones. She was an avid knitter, practiced yoga, and enjoyed Mahjong. She was well known in her Bayside, Queens neighborhood.The funeral is Wednesday, February 4, at 11:00 AM on Long Island:

Burial will be at Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Farmingdale, L.I. The family will go back to Susan’s sister’s house on Long Island immediately afterward.
Shiva in Montclair will be at the Opperman home, 78 Clinton Avenue, at the following times:
Wednesday, 2/4 – 7-9 PM, with minyan at 7:30
Thursday, 2/5 – noon-3:00 and 6:30-9 PM, with minyan at 7:30
Friday, 2/6 -- noon-3:00
Saturday, 2/7 – 6:30-9 PM, with minyan at 7:30
