Herman Horowitz, father of BK member Vicki Herbst, passed away yesterday morning. He was 91. He lived in Monroe Township, NJ, after moving from Plainview, NY.
Herman was born in Brooklyn, NY, and later moved to Plainview. He was a sales representative for Representatives Inc. and sold housewares. He served in World War II in the Pacific theater.
Herman is survived by Shirley, his beloved wife of 68 years, daughters Lynn, Jill and Vicki, sons in-law Stuart and Peter, grandchildren Amanda, Brian, Doug and Roni, great-grandchildren Braylie and Lia, brother Stan and sister in-law Sibby. He loved his family and extensive circles of friends.
A graveside service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, May 27, at Mt. Arrarat Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
Shiva will take place at Vicki and Peter’s home, 9 Fairview Place, Montclair, also on Wednesday, May 27th from 7pm to 9pm, with a Shiva Minyan at 7pm.
