Talking About Israel

Monday, November 28, 2022 4 Kislev 5783

7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

In preparation for presentations by Rabbi David Teutsch (Jan 28) and Sallie Gottesman (Dec 10) later this year about initiatives and visions responding to realities on the ground for Israelis and Palestinians, we want to practice talking and listening more broadly.

Join Bnai Keshet's "Resetting the Table" program, led by Rabbi Ezra Weinberg (former BK intern), and a small group of BK members to have intense and personal conversations about Israel in a facilitated setting. We did a trial run of this program this spring and the feedback was extremely positive.

This program requires a two-hour time commitment for an intensive online-based facilitated program and a donation of $50 (all are welcome with or without reservations).  Dates will be organized based on interest, register now.

What this program is:
-Humble sharing of feelings
-Speaking from our own experiences
-Resilient listening
-Witnessing difference and being in relationship to it as an expression of deep rooted connection to Jewish diversity
-Creating the foundation for future conversations and actions.

What this program is not:
-Not a debate
-Not an opportunity to proselytize
-Not a soapbox or megaphone to promote your perspective on the conflict
-Not a space for activism
