The lobbying visit was part of a national American Jewish World Service (AJWS) Policy Summit in May where Rabbi Elliott and other NJ activists met with Sen.Booker on women’s and LGBT rights worldwide. The Policy Summit supported the AJWS “We Believe” campaign to pass the International Violence Against Women Act (IVAWA).
Rabbi Elliott also urges us to sign the petition urging President Obama to end LGBT discrimination in Foreign Assistance Programs.
