Wise Aging
Wise Aging
Bnai Keshet, Congregation Shomrei Emunah and Temple Ner Tamid
Fall 2019
The Wise Aging series is a groundbreaking program designed to engage the social, emotional and spiritual needs of those in our communities reflecting on how they are aging and their hopes for the years ahead.
Developed by the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, based on the book by Rabbi Rachel Cowan z"l and Dr. Linda Thal, Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit, this program is a multi-session supportive group experience led by trained facilitators from these congregations. This series will introduce you to meaningful practices, and expand your understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your values.
Wise Aging incorporates readings, discussion, active listening, journal-writing, mindfulness, and meditation, all complemented by Jewish text study.
