The Women's March continues at BK: Wednesday, 7:30 pm, February 22. Rabbi Ariann will facilitate a discussion on the exhilaration of the march and using that energy as we go forward. Bring information you have of already well-organized local and national efforts; we may consider connecting with some of those. All are welcome.
We'll share the blessings we've practiced over the past few weeks and break bread together, have a Soulful Shabbat service featuring our BK Band, and have moments along the way to share blessings again even if you missed dinner. If you are so moved to make our Shabbat truly a delight, please contribute to our oneg Shabbat (post-service dessert) by bringing a baked good from home with an ingredient list (please no nuts). Gluten-free and other allergy-aware desserts are especially welcome and will be served on a separate table.
Shabbat, February 4: Bo (Shevat 8) No Gimmel Bet Midrash 9:00a Bet Midrash 9:00a Chanting with Melissa Schaffer
Many phrases drawn from our liturgy can be chanted with the intention of opening, soothing, and healing the heart. For one hour we can join together as souls, focus on our hearts and on expanding love for all beings (not least of all ourselves). We will also read from what Rabbi Akiva called "The Holy of Holies": the Song of Songs, the Torah's gloriously sensual ancient love story. All are welcome.
College-bound teens are invited to join us on Saturday, February 4th, at 7PM for this important discussion about being a Jewish Teen on a college campus: Text your name to Rabbi Ariann at 862 500 1052 if you're planning to come. Click for more info .....

Curious about Bnai Keshet? Wednesday, February 15, 2017 • 7PM
Are you interested in Bnai Keshet? Or do you have a friend who wants to find out more?
We invite anyone who is "BK-curious" to join us on Wednesday, February 15th at 7PM to learn about BK's vibrant community and innovative educational programs for adults and children.
Our Rabbis Elliott Tepperman and Ariann Weitzman will join members of the BK Board and congregation to have an informal conversation and answer any questions you may have. Call the office (973-746-4889); or contact Jessica Gidal if you are interested in attending. Click here to send this to a friend.
The tradition lives on...Once a year, small dinner parties are held in members‘ homes throughout BK-land, mixing long-time and new members, active and no-so-active, all our generations and demographics. Good food and talk with people you may not know well and others you haven’t connected with for a while. Leave the matchmaking to us for a unique BK evening.
