Special Wednesday Evening Program
Wednesday evening minyan at a special time - 7:00 p.m. followed byAn evening with representatives of OneVoice, a grassroots organization that creates opportunities for real meetings between real people from the Israeli and Palestinian sides of the conflict in Israel. This is an opportunity to meet and share visions for what can happen.
Tomorrow, we will be honored to hear from Ezz, who is a Palestinian from Gaza, and from Dekel, who is an Israeli, both are OneVoice activists.They will share their personal experience and perspective, and talk about what happens in those meetings.A discussion facilitated by Oren Heiman, the Chairman of Moatza Mekomit NY, will follow.

We will begin welcoming Shabbat and each other at 5:30 pm. (Don’t worry about arriving later.)

BK Member David Sanders has invited all those interested in joining him for a Kabbalat Shabbat service on Friday, May 9th that combines lively singing and wordless melody ("niggun"), drumming, chanting and meditation. "Our intention is to welcome those familiar with the traditional Friday night service and those less familiar, to minimize the use of words in prayer and to create a warm and intimate home-based atmosphere."
The service will be followed by a potluck dinner.
We will meet at David's house (425 Park Street in Upper Montclair, between Lorraine and Haddon, just north of Bellevue Avenue) at 7:00. Children are welcome, though this is not a service specifically oriented to kids.
