BK Salon

Come and share your talents at the BK Salon on Saturday, January 24th at 8PM!
 
We are looking for anyone who wants to share a creative piece--such as poetry, story, play, or music.  The piece should be 10 minutes or less.

Summer Learning

Precious Suffering: A Shabbat-exploration of forgiveness, resentment, and grief

Rabbi E. Noach Shapiro, LCSW will lead this weekend of learning, beginning Friday, January 23rd and concluding Saturday morning and afternoon. Please click for additional information and to register.

Mindfulness in a Jewish Context - 8 week class

Beginning on Thursday, January 29th  at 7:30PM, Rabbi Rex Perlmeter and Beth Sandweiss are offering a class for those who would like to develop a meditation and mindfulness practice and would appreciate a structured step-by-step approach. Over 8 weeks we will introduce guided practices that teach us how to cultivate our attention and shift from a mode of mind that is oriented toward “doing” to a more spacious mode of mind that rests in “being”.  Click for more information and to register. Advance registration is necessary.

Join EVERYONE for our annual Everyone Shabbat.  This is a come-as-you-are service with our only goal being to see as many Bnai Keshet faces as possible and enjoy a participatory musical service and a delicious meal.  We are making a BK Community Installation for the evening, please bring a family picture, piece of art, poem, or other contribution that can be pinned to a bulletin board.  Please also plan on bringing a couple of cans or boxes of food to contribute to our food drive for the evening.  Musicians: Keep an eye out for an e-mail about our Everyone musical offering this year - make sure your ukeleles are tuned!
