Another class in the Martin Golan series.  The Torah is central to Judaism, a sacred book that is also the story, or at least some version of the story, of our people. But how does it stack up purely as poetry and as literature, stripped of its ancient and profound religious significance? We’ll read parts of this holy book and try to assess it as if you found it at a friend’s vacation house when you had nothing else to read. Would you recommend it?
