Shabbat Highlights This Week

Sacred Chanting ~ Heart Circle

"Many phrases drawn from our liturgy can be chanted with the intention of opening, soothing, and healing the heart. For one hour on February the13th from 9 - 10 am, our Sacred Chant Circle will be a Heart Circle. We'll join together to focus on our hearts and expanding love for all beings, not least of all ourselves. We will also read from what Rabbi Akiva called "The Holy of Holies", the Song of Songs, the Torah's gloriously sensual ancient love story. All are welcome! 9AM on Shabbat with Melissa Schaffer

Join Jessica Siegal at 9am for continued teaching from the Book of Judges this Shabbat.

Dmitry “Dima” Shimelfarb, an ambassador for the Jewish Agency for Israel’s programs, will speak at Bnai Keshet’s Kaplan Minyan on Saturday morning. His talk is titled, “An Amazing Jewish Journey and Israel’s Way Forward.” He will relate his own story and offer his personal views on Israel and her neighbors. The Kaplan Minyan, which meets in the Red Gables historic house across the parking lot from the synagogue’s main building, begins at 10:30 a.m. with selected songs and readings.

Join us for Shabbat morning services at 10am as Peter Herbst will be leading services and giving the devar Torah. Lauren Meyer and Nathan Goldwasser will be chanting Torah.

And there's more ...
