Friday afternoon, May 31st through Sunday afternoon, June 2nd.

We will begin welcoming Shabbat and each other at 5:30pm
(Don’t worry about arriving later.)

Join your BK community at Camp Havaya in the Poconos for a retreat that is unique, fun, educational, spiritual, social, and so much more! This is great for new members and old, families with kids of all ages as well as singles - filled with singing, prayer and meditation, outdoor activities, lots of time for relaxing, bonfires and s'mores, fun games and of course lots of food! 

Camp Havaya, the summer camp of the Reconstructionist Movement, is located on 130 acres of scenic wooded land in the Pocono Mountains in South Sterling, Pennsylvania. It's less than 2 hours from Montclair and has a Kosher kitchen, dining room, theater arts center, hiking trails, campfire grounds, indoor pavilions, softball & soccer fields, tennis courts, and a scenic lake view. 

Sample activities at the Retreat:
Arts & Crafts, Singing, Israeli Dancing, Yoga, Campfire, Outdoor Prayer & Torah Study, Nature Walks, Intergenerational & Adult-Only Games, Frisbee, Ga-Ga, Havdallah, Basketball, Teen Lounge, Young Children's Activities, Late-night Jam Session, Hanging Out, Star-Gazing.

Babysitting available all weekend!

Your help is needed to make the BK Retreat a success.  

Each adult attending is asked to consider volunteering to lead or help with activities. Please let us know which activities you would like to run and/or help with.
Feel free to choose as many as you like.

Housing Options

Multi-family cabin: Each cabin accommodates two to three families on bunk beds.
Adults $195, children $160 - select number of guests below.

Lodge: There are a very limited number of single and double rooms in the main lodge with private or shared bathrooms. 
Adults $225 - contact the office to inquire about availability. 
   Adult/Shared Cabin (13 and older): $195 each
   Child/Shared Cabin (ages 5 - 12): $160 each
   Donation to help cover the cost for another family: $36

No cost for children 4 and younger.

Food

All meals are Kosher. Some will include meat. Non-meat alternatives (and other special diets) will be provided only to those who make requests in advance.  
Please indicate the number of people who are on a special diet.
