High Holy Days English Readings

Link to D'vrei Torah and D'varlettes from Rosh Hashanah

After consultation with The BK health committee, we are excited that we plan for the first time in two years, for our congregation to gather in person for the High Holy Days. The BK health committee, which includes medical personnel, epidemiologists, lawyers and dedicated lay leaders, has convened regularly throughout the pandemic to monitor the status of the virus and efforts to contain it and determine how to keep our community safe. Based on discussions with our health and Religious Life committees, we share these plans:

  • We will gather as a community, with members and guests, at Central Presbyterian Church at 46 Park St. in Montclair.

  • We will welcome vaccinated members and guests, and children under 12 who are not yet eligible for vaccines. For the safety of our community, we require proof of vaccination from all attendees aged 12 and over.

  • Masks are required for all people entering Central Presbyterian and its facilities.

  • Children aged 11 and under will not be permitted in the SanctuaryWe look forward to having younger children and their adults join us for outdoor family services.

  • For the further comfort of all and to facilitate social distancing, we will limit the overall capacity.

  • We will hold outdoor services under a tent for children under 12, and offer indoor babysitting indoors with masked babysitters. No registration is necessary. Babysitters are vaccinated.

  • We ask that ALL ATTENDEES REGISTER. As always, we have an open-door policy and we look forward to "seeing" you online if you are attending in that way.

  • Live streamed services via Facebook will be available.
